Dodgers Notes: Non-Tendered Pitcher Returns, LA’s Deferrals Surpass $1 Billion, More

The Los Angeles Dodgers made another move for a reliever this offseason, bringing back Nick Frasso on a minor league deal after non-tendering him earlier in the offseason.

Frasso has been with the Dodgers since 2022, and posted a 5.49 ERA through 43 games in Triple-A last season.

The Dodgers’ signing of Edwin Diaz — much like many of their other big contracts in recent years — contained annual deferrals and pushed their deferred wage bill over $1 billion.

Most of the money comes from Shohei Ohtani’s $680 million in deferred payments, but the Dodgers also have Mookie Betts, Blake Snell, Freddie Freeman, Will Smith, Teoscar Hernandez, Tommy Edman and Tanner Scott to worry about.
