Dodgers Notes: Roster Move Incoming, Ex-LA Catcher Likely Retiring, James Outman Joins Club Temporarily

The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the New York Mets, 6-5, on a wild Thursday afternoon in an MLB-leading 21st come-from-behind win. They improved to 38-25 on the year.

Additionally, there is an upcoming roster move as the previous confusion surrounding Friday’s starting pitcher has been resolved. Manager Dave Roberts revealed the plan is to call up Justin Wrobleski and have him take the hill against the St. Louis Cardinals.

In less exciting news, a former Dodgers catcher is likely headed towards retirement. The backstop was instrumental in four pennants for L.A. during his time with the team.

Finally, James Outman had a locker in the clubhouse on Thursday, however, it was just temporary. The centerfielder was on the taxi squad, but it appears there are no issues with the potentially injured Tommy Edman or Hyeseong Kim.
