Dodgers Notes: Yankees Wanted Clayton Kershaw, Andrew Friedman Wants MLB Rule Change, Tanner Scott New Mindset

The Los Angeles Dodgers spent the weekend celebrating the illustrious career of Clayton Kershaw, but what has turned into a phenomenal 18 seasons with one team could have been very different according to an interview with Yankees front office executive Brian Cashman. Needless to say, the Dodgers are lucky a deal never materialized and Kershaw stayed in LA.

In other news, president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman wants to see a rule change in MLB pertaining to superstar Shohei Ohtani. His proposal could potentially open the door for Ohtani to pitch out of the bullpen and still stay in the game as a hitter after his time on the mound is done.

Finally, southpaw reliever Tanner Scott has a new mindset for the rest of the season. With sky-high expectations and a lucrative contract to match, Scott is tied for the most blown saves in MLB and has an ERA of 4.64.
