Dodgers November Notes: Free Agency Signings, Multiple Retirements, Shortstop Suspended
What a month, Dodgers Nation!
The month of November began with the Los Angeles Dodgers celebrating their World Series victory over the New York Yankees, and concludes with massive contract signings for starting pitcher Blake Snell and utility player Tommy Edman.
Snell signed with the Dodgers on a five-year, $182 million deal that gives the Dodgers the starter they have been seeking. One Dodgers free agent who has yet to sign? Teoscar Hernández, who has repeatedly expressed his desire to remain with the Dodgers.
Dodgers reliever Daniel Hudson and outfielder Kevin Kiermaier each announced their retirements from MLB following the Dodgers’ World Series victory.
Dodgers shortstop Jose D. Hernandez was suspended for the entire 2025 season after testing positive for boldenone and nandrolone. The 21-year-old will sit out of the Arizona Complex League next season.
