Dodgers Opening Day: Full Official Opening Day Lineup
It’s finally time! Yes, it’s Opening Day in Los Angeles. Therefore, King Arthur is back and Camelot; system homestasis restored, all that good stuff. I wrote this post last year for Opening Day. It’s a decent little read about why time begins on Opening Day.
Now, the Dodgers have an official lineup card out for game numero uno. Ken Gurnick has it on twitter for us.

There aren’t a ton of surprises here. However, a few items of note:
- Max Muncy gets the clean-up spot over say; Cody Bellinger. This is despite having a slow spring.
- Joc Pederson is leading off, much to my chagrin.
- Austin Barnes and Kiké Hernandez are starters as of Opening Day 2019.
- Corey Seager returns to the two-hole rather than three where he hit during some spring training games.
Moreover, we have some #LineupFun for you which is something special that Dodgers Nation cooks up before every game. This season we will be doing live game twittercasts, which allow us to interact with our followers! Follow us here to be part of the action. A.J. Gonzalez (he’s @AJonTheGuitar) has cooked us up a special version of lineup fun to begin the 2019 season:

The Dodgers Approach to 2019
Not a Pederson fan and for Roberts to continue to put Pederson in the Line up and Leading Off I think he is an idiot…But we are stuck with him for YEARS….
Pederson taking good at bats today
This game is very 2017-esque. I missed this
Awesome opener!
Wonder since Robbie Ray(LHP) will pitch for D-backs, one will Pederson start and if he starts, will he bat lead-off? ESPN is noting the Giants will start LHPs(Pomeranz,Bumgarner,Hernandez) against the Dodgers upon completion of AZ-series. Interesting to see how Roberts handles Pederson’s playing-time against three consecutive LHPs.
I just can’t see them playing Muncy + Bellinger against LHP (although they should).
