Dodgers Owners Win Bid to Purchase English Premier League Team
For some, owning one of the premier franchises in baseball isn’t enough. On Saturday, it was announced that Todd Boehly and Mark Walter, both part of the ownership group of the Dodgers, won the winning bid for the right to purchase the Chelsea Football Club for a cool $5.25B.
Soccer, or should we say football, reporter Fabrizio Romano was one of the first to report the news.

Chelsea went up for sale in March due to sanctions from the United Kingdom. The UK government forced the previous owner, Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich, to sell the club in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Boehly led a team of investors that in addition to Dodgers chairman Mark Walter, also included Swiss billionaire Hansjoerg Wyss.
Unless the internet is lying to us (again), Boehly was in England to take in his first match at Samford Bridge as one of the owners of Chelsea FC.
