Dodgers Players and Coaches React to Their 8th Straight NL West Crown
By now, you’ve probably heard that the Dodger clinched their 8th consecutive NL West title dating back to 2013. Los Angeles defeated the Oakland A’s at home and were able to awkwardly celebrate under MLB’s new guidelines.
Even though there were no goggles, or tubs of beer, or champagne being sprayed on helpless media members, there was something. Dodgers players and coaches got to meet with fans via a zoom celebration party, and they got to virtually meet with media as well.
Chris Taylor was one of the guys that appeared on the zoom media call. In his words, he felt that this Dodgers team was the best that he has ever played with.
Chris Taylor just called this the most complete team that he has ever been a part of.
Bold statement for a guy that's been on some good Dodger teams.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts repeated several times that the team was being responsible in their celebrations and that indeed no alcohol was involved. Roberts also wanted to make sure that the players did get a chance to celebrate the massive accomplishment in such a strange season.
Dave Roberts says that this is something everyone expects but should never be taken for granted.
Repeatedly talked about how proud he is of this team.

Mookie Betts got some time to talk as well, though it was cut short for the team picture. Betts reiterated that it was just one step of many steps ahead, but that he would be soaking in the moment.
"It's just step one to where we want to be." Mookie Betts talks with @alannarizzo about the #Dodgers staying focused on the bigger goal and why this team has the tools to win it all. pic.twitter.com/eK8B3DzuID

Corey Seager had another great game on Tuesday, but that was almost the last thing on everyone’s minds. Seager went on to say that he wasn’t taking this clinch for granted, especially in such a strange year.
"They all count, you can' take it for granted. You can't assume this every year"

Speaking of those alcohol restrictions, Dave Roberts sounded like he was going to be celebrating responsibly following the win.
Dave Roberts just said to the zoom clinch party "I'm trying to be responsible with the alcohol restrictions… but I might have a little something."
You didn't hear it from me! #Dodgers

AJ Pollock, like many other Dodgers players, acknowledged the fact that not having fans to celebrate with was strange. Here’s hoping for next year though.
#Dodgers OF AJ Pollock on division-clinching celebration: “It’s really strange. We’re on the field and the crowd is going nuts and you’re looking at each other and you’re like, ‘Wait a second, we’re the only ones here.' It was bizarre, but it’s still special."

The Dodgers will celebrate on their own this year, but we’re just so thankful to have this moment. For a while, it looked like we might not get baseball at all in 2020. Let’s go get that ring.

Congrats to all the Dodgers. But you got to keep on playing everything you’ve got, no slacking off because you’ll get weak and pay for it at the end.
