Dodgers Players React to Game 7 Win, World Series Berth

The Dodgers are once again the champions of the National League, but their goals are bigger than that. With their third World Series berth in the past four years, they are hoping that the third time is the charm in their quest for the elusive title of World Champions.

After their victory in Game 7 against the Braves, players took to social media to share their excitement for what they’ve accomplished as well as what lies ahead.

Dustin May

May has been one of the biggest factors all season long, and he is as excited as anyone about making it to this final series for the 2020 season. He will be a big part of the Dodgers’ World Series plans and will hopefully continue his successful rookie campaign.

Tony Gonsolin

Tony is another player who finally had an opportunity to break out this season and did not disappoint. He has been another crucial rotation member who has had to adjust to different roles in October. The Cat Man shared the team photo with a simple message: the World Series is coming soon. Very soon.

Will Smith

The Dodgers catcher posted this epic photo following the final out of the game, and he’s clearly pumped to be moving on. Smith had many timely hits during the NLCS, and who can forget the 5-hit game that helped get the Dodgers here in the first place?

Brusdar Graterol

Brusdar Graterol was an absolutely crucial piece to this  NL pennant, and his energy was a big part of that. He also shared the team photo and let his excitement show as this will be his first trip to the World Series.

Kenley Jansen

Dodgers’ reliever, Kenley Jansen was another who shared his excitement for returning to the big stage. Let’s hope that the third time is the charm for Jansen and the rest of the team.

Joc Pederson

Joc Pederson has had some timely hits throughout his Dodgers career and appropriately captioned his post “launch!”. We can only hope that Pederson has a few more home runs stashed away for the World Series because this might be his last chance to get there as a Dodger.

Josiah Gray

Dodgers prospect Josiah Gray, who is a member of the taxi squad, also celebrated the team’s victory. Even without taking the field, the excitement around a World Series berth is felt up and down an entire organization!

Fans aren’t the only ones that get excited over these series victories. The players are rightfully thrilled at the chance of playing for a World title again, and we only have to wait one more day before the journey continues. Make sure to tune in this week as the boys in blue go for their first title since 1988.
