Dodgers Release Statement on Trevor Bauer’s Suspension

Major League Baseball finally made a decision on Trevor Bauer today. They issued a 2-year suspension for the Dodgers pitcher which will reportedly not include the games that he has already served on administrative leave.

Naturally, the Dodgers had a statement in the wake of the announcement from Major League Baseball. You can find it below, courtesy of the team.

“Today we were informed that MLB has concluded its investigation into allegations that have been made against Trevor Bauer, and the Commissioner has issued his decision regarding discipline.  The Dodgers organization takes all allegations of this nature very seriously and does not condone or excuse any acts of domestic violence or sexual assault.

We’ve cooperated fully with MLB’s investigation since it began, and we fully support MLB’s Joint Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, and Child Abuse Policy, and the Commissioner’s enforcement of the Policy. We understand that Trevor has the right to appeal the Commissioner’s decision.  Therefore, we will not comment further until the process is complete.”

  1. You’re kidding !!! Never convicted but 2 years probation. Armed robbers get less time. MLB brass way out of touch with reality. This must be appealed immediately and heard by a neutral committee.

  2. It’s about time MLB made a decision on this matter. I won’t be surprised if the suspension gets reduced to one year upon appeal.

  3. Cut Bauer loose NOW! He had a chance to behave like a man and apologize to his teammates, the fans, and management for his grotesque choice of sexual activity. He need professional counseling to help him get back on track, then, maybe some other team will take a chance.
