Dodgers: Roberts Says a World Series in 2020 is Legit, Which is More Than the Astros Can Say

Houston Astros All-Star shortstop, Carlos Correa, says he “would love to cross over into the UFC!” We discuss Carlos Correa’s MMA ambitions and tell you why baseball fans are still furious with the Astros for their actions in the sign-stealing scheme that rocked Major League Baseball.

Plus, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts comments on whether an 82-game season is enough to crown a legitimate champion.

I’d wager to say that just about anyone with even a slight understanding of the game and the situation would put more weight into a world championship won with only an 82 game season when put against a title that was “earned” through cheating.

At least the 82 game championship season would be played with a level playing field.

So we know Dave’s thoughts? Where do you stand? And most importantly? How nice would it be to see Correa live out his dream of being knocked out? Let us know in the comments below!

  1. Sorry, Dave… I have been one of your most loyal, yes, everyone, loyal backers. Can’t back you on this one. I want 162… plus… games, to win “OUR” World Series!! Six months, not three. If everyone is concerned about money. Well… Guess everyone needs to budget themselves… Like the rest of us!!

    1. Beth we get what we get. Let’s remember that the players will be serving the needs of fans and owners by going out on the field during a worldwide pandemic. If the players can compromise and commit, so should we. This is no time for grandstanding about the meaning of a shortened season under our current circumstances. All this talk about players and their millions…what about the stadium game day staff? What about Lyft/Uber/cab drivers and a slew of other folks who rely on game day to make some money. Hotels, Restaurants. It never stops. I want to suggest that if players get back on the field for a short season, we support them for the 3 month season. Have fun, stop complaining, stop dismissing the relevance of games played.

      1. Yes support them like it’s an exhibition season meant soley to give people going through tough times something fun to enjoy for a bit, but it’s still not a legitimate season and no champion will ever be viewed like the others. But hey they’ll still be more legit than Houston

        1. People will make what they will of it and the champions will be viewed as the team that won that weird season. Can’t wait for the swag! I feel spoiled as a baseball fan getting 162 games. But NBA, NFL, NHL play far fewer and it works just fine. The Players will deliver in 82 games. If it happens I plan to enjoy it.
