Dodgers Rumors: The Angels of Anaheim are in the Chase for Utley

According to Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in Orange County are hoping to lure second baseman, Chase Utley, away from the Dodgers in free agency.

While the Dodgers are busy locking up Rich Hill, Justin Turner and Kenley Jansen, it looks like the Angels are after the veteran leadership and countless other intangibles Utley can bring to their clubhouse culture.

Many would say that Utley had a surprisingly great season hitting .252 with 14 home runs, 52 RBIs and 79 runs while mentoring a young Corey Seager to a rookie of the year award. Fans know that it’s more than just the numbers that make Utley an extremely important part of this team, so let’s hope Utley knows the right move and sticks with the boys in blue.
