Dodgers Rumors: Trea Turner Continues to Be Strongly Linked to Phillies

While the Dodgers cleared over $100 million in the books, it doesn’t directly correlate with bringing Trea Turner back to the Dodgers. The Dodgers can still possibly look to add Aaron Judge, but with the departures of Cody Bellinger and Tyler Anderson the team also needs to find replacements in their respective positions which only furthers the notion of Turner leaving.

To make things harder among Dodgers fans, Turner continues to be linked with the Phillies as Turner has expressed interest of returning to the east coast. This leaves the Dodgers in a bigger bind as fans will soon find out what the Dodgers truly prioritize this off-season.

There are some top shortstop options of Turner were to depart, but it’s hard to argue against Turner being the top shortstop in free agency. Pairing Turner back with his former teammate Bryce Harper is starting to make a lot more sense as each day goes on (via MLB Network).

While the Dodgers present Turner with high odds of making a deep postseason push, the Phillies were just in the World Series and can be one top player away from a championship. It’s a great options for Turner and the Dodgers may not be willing to match the top dollar the Phillies will be ready to offer.
