Senzel, 29, is a six-year MLB veteran who most recently played with the Washington Nationals and Chicago White Sox in 2024.

Across 74 games with the two teams last year, the right-hander slashed .195/.283/.331 with seven home runs, 18 RBIs, and an OPS of .614.

This year, Senzel was playing in Mexico, where he appeared in six games, slashing .591/.654/1.136 with an OPS of 1.790.

Senzel is a former first-round pick by the Cincinnati Reds in 2016. He debuted in 2019 and spent the first five years of his career with Cincinnati. Across those five seasons, he hit .239 with 33 home runs, 135 RBIs, and an OPS of .671 in 377 games.

Senzel is a utility man who has mainly played in center field and at third base in his career. He also has experience at second base and in both corner outfield spots.

Senzel will presumably report to Triple-A Oklahoma City, where he’ll work toward an MLB call up.

  1. The Dodgers should have traded for Arenado during the off season when they had a chance. Muncey makes error after error, always has and because he had a few good years with 30+ homers?? He has never hit for average and his time has passed. What a love affair Roberts has with Muncey and Taylor. The bottom of the order is terrible and yes, it effects the top of the order. Roberts won’t even move the order around to light a fire under their pockets (want to keep it clean). Nick Senzel, wow – really going to change things. What a joke!

  2. It’s time to move on from Muncy. Find a full time 3rd baseman and if nothing else, relegate Muncy to a utility roll. He still has some “value”.

  3. For some reason the Dodgers feel it’s necessary to keep underperforming players on their roster until the players contract expires. Muncy and Chris Taylor are prime examples. Obviously, the money that the players are owed plays a significant factor but at what price? The Dodgers apparently feel that they can win with the contributions (or lack thereof) of those two. Frustrating!!!!!

  4. The Dodgers have a lot of talent in the minors. How long is the team going to allow Taylor, Muncy, Barnes, Conforto, Rojas and Kiki to stay with the MLB roster. All are hitting below the Mendoza line. Time to bring up Dalton Rushing, Feduccia, Kim and Ryan Ward. They deserve a chance to take a look at what they can do with the big club.

    1. Find a way to put these Club 100 (Mendoza Line) guys on the IL and bring up some of the young fresh talent people are talking about and let’s see what they can do. I think they can be better than the Club 100 gang .
