Dodgers Spring Training Photos: Jansen Throws Off One Foot, And More
Wednesday marked the first day the Los Angeles Dodgers had the entire team in camp for Spring Training, which includes Kenley Jansen, who is recovering from foot surgery.
At the time of the surgery, the Dodgers announced the closer would miss the next in eight to 12 weeks, though he later stated he’d be return sooner than projected. With Jansen out, manager Don Mattingly said he intends to rely on late-game matchups rather than try to anoint a replacement.
Jansen didn’t report to Camelback Ranch with his fellow pitchers, instead arriving a few days after. While he can’t fully participate in workouts, Jansen said he would work on his upper body and he managed to throw off one foot on Wednesday, via Pedro Moura of the OC Register:
