Dodgers: The Broadcast Deal That Was Long Overdue | Dodgers DougOut

After 6 long years it finally happened. When it was announced that Spectrum Networks had come to an agreement with AT&T to show Dodger games on DirecTV and more, the first thought that came to mind was “its about damn time.”

Let’s get into it.

Through division title after division title, through the end of Vin Scully’s broadcasting career… like Justin Turner said, “this was long overdue.” How does a team that draws nearly 4 million in attendance come in at the 25th spot for TV ratings amongst MLB teams. The Orioles were above them!

While AT&T/DirecTV now carries SportsNet LA, when will the other cable providers follow suit? Verizon, Dish… we’re looking at you.

  1. You’re absolutely right Dave S. They make it sound like now it’s available for everyone, which it is but…I just dumped Cox a week ago so I’m sure they’ll teach a deal soon. You’ve been watching the games using the Unlocator app right?
