Dodgers: Three Players Added to the Injured List

The Dodgers are back at the second round of Spring Training, and players are still trickling into camps. While testing has yielded some positive results, it’s still unclear which players are sitting out because of COVID-19.

The Dodgers are still missing seven players from their camp, though manager Dave Roberts would not say why. On Tuesday evening, they also added three players to the Injured List without any clear reason as of yet. Edwin Uceta, Cody Thomas, and Zach Reks were all moved to the 10-day IL.

The move comes without any official announcement, though Roberts is expected to address it in his press conference this afternoon. It also comes with a little bit of a caveat since these guys are not technically on the Dodgers’ 40-man roster. The need to move them to the IL is just one of the many strange wrinkles with this new 60-man player pool.

Cody Thomas got the attention fo Dodgers fans during Spring Training when he hit five homeruns and made a few sparkling defensive grabs. Zach Reks also turned some heads when he went 7-19 with a few extra-base hits.

This story will be updated after Roberts’ media huddle today.
