Dodgers to Honor Kobe and Gianna Bryant This Sunday
Kobe Bryant will always be remembered in Los Angeles as an icon. He was so much more than just a basketball player, he meant everything to this city. Not only did he bring five NBA Championships to LA, but he taught us a lot in the process. The Dodgers have always had a special connection with the Bryant family.
Kobe’s 42nd birthday would have been this coming Sunday. He and his daughter Gianna tragically perished in a helicopter crash in January that rocked the entire city. In honor of Kobe and Giann, the Dodgers will honor them prior to the game on Sunday against the Rockies.
