Dodgers Top Outfield Prospect Named Minor League Player of the Week
If the Dodgers are in need of offensive help in LA, I know where they can find a hot bat! Outfield prospect Andy Pages was named Player of the Week for the Texas League in Double-A. He put together a monster week where he slashed .444/.655/.889 with 2 home runs and 10 runs batted in.
The Cuban-born outfielder is the 6th ranked prospect in the Dodgers’ system and 74th in all of baseball according to MLB Pipeline. The 22-year-old Pages has got off to a nice start this year at AA, posting a 1.311 OPS over 9 games.
He’s a potential star in the making if things keep trending upward. Last season he hit 26 homers at AA and the year before he crushed 31 bombs at High-A Great Lakes.
Chances are high that Pages helps the Dodgers big league squad in some form this year, whether as a call up or as a trade chip for a midseason blockbuster.
