Dodgers: Trevor Bauer Jokes With Matt Beaty on Tipped Pitches
Trevor Bauer is known to mess with guys in the big leagues every once in a while. That was certainly the case during Spring Training this year when the Reds’ pitcher was telling Dodgers’ hitters what was coming.
One of those guys that faced Bauer while he was tipping his pitches, was the Dodgers’ Matt Beaty. Bauer was set to join Ross Stripling on the Big Swing Podcast this week, and they threw it out to fans to ask him questions. Beaty responded, joking about whether or not Bauer would be telling him what’s coming during the season. Bauer shot back with a little teasing for Beaty.
You wanna run it back? I feel it’s only fair to give you a chance at redemption ??

Beaty popped out in that at-bat, in what I am sure was a very confusing sequence of pitches. Most interpreted it as Bauer taking shots at the Astros for their part in a sign-stealing scandal, given that he has been very outspoken against Houston. But Bauer sort of shrugged that notion off and didn’t really address it very much. You can take a look at his outing against the Dodgers here.

Luckily, Bauer offered Beaty a shot at redemption this year. Let’s hope we get a shot to face off against the Reds this year because Trevor Bauer definitely seems like the kind of guy that would absolutely do this during the season.
Bauer has been fairly active during this second offseason, getting players involved in all sorts of content. He has done live batting practice with Derek Dietrich a few times, in videos that have been very popular on YouTube. He also made headlines a few weeks ago when he told fans on a live call that he would love to play for the Dodgers one day. Bauer went to Santa Clarita High School and UCLA.
