Dodgers’ Tyler Glasnow Has ‘Whole Body Soreness,’ Likely Going on Injured List

Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander Tyler Glasnow has “whole body soreness,” according to manager Dave Roberts.

Glasnow is likely going on the injured list, but he is currently being examined by doctors. He left Sunday’s start with right shoulder discomfort after throwing just 17 pitches.

“[Glasnow] is the process of being looked at by our doctors, overall body soreness, as I understand it, and we’re bringing Noah Davis to taxi,” Roberts said Monday. “We haven’t made a decision on the IL, but yeah, the doctors will look at him and we’ll kind of see where we go, from there.”

In the past two seasons, Glasnow has dealt with five different injuries since signing with the Dodgers. Sunday’s departure marked the second consecutive start Glasnow left with an injury.

During last week’s start against the Texas Rangers, the right-hander exited early because of cramps.

The right shoulder discomfort Glasnow experienced Sunday is much more serious than the previous ailment, and it appears a stint on the IL is inevitable.

If Glasnow goes on the IL, the Dodgers will have two of the five starters that began the season in the rotation out of commission. Blake Snell was sidelined by shoulder inflammation, and received an injection Monday in the hopes to address the ailment.
