Dodgers: Víctor González Activated Prior to Wednesday’s Game
The Dodgers are going to have to shuffle the roster quite a bit over the next few days. Heading into the series with the Brewers this weekend, the team has plans to get guys vaccinated. With that comes some aches and pains that may result in guys sitting out a few days.
Victor González and Mitch White both were forced onto the COVID List this week after receiving their shots. Some lingering soreness led to the Dodgers bringing up DJ Peters and Garrett Cleavinger as depth.
But the good news is that the Dodgers already get González back. They activated him prior to Wednesday afternoon’s game against the Reds. MLB’s COVID list does not require a minimum time period to be removed from the roster.

The Dodgers optioned Peters as a result of Victor’s activation. Dave Roberts revealed that he will be available immediately out of the bullpen and that González is ready to go. Mitch White is not quite ready to be activated but should be good soon.
González has had a decent start to the year, though his control is a work in progress. He’s allowed 5 walks already after allowing just 2 all of last season. But his ability to keep the ball on the ground has been incredibly helpful for the Dodgers early on this season.
