With the Dodgers having extended their lead to a more comfortable 7-1, Greinke came to the plate once more in the eighth inning. Whereas he doubled in the seventh, he would have no such luck this time around, but didn’t go down without first calling for his own appeal on a check swing:



Appealing on his own at-bat is something Greinke took from former Dodger and current Texas Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre, according to Zach Helfand of the LA Times:

  1. I’m lovin’ Zack’s 2015 start. I predict he’ll get 20 if no injuries, He is the true Ace this year now and looking the part every time he takes the mound and do mop up after a Kershaw misfire or Guffaw.
