Dodgers Video: Yasiel Puig Gestures He’ll Make Next Catch Behind His Back
Yasiel Puig is one of the most well-known players in all of baseball. Whether it be for his arm, bat flips after home runs, or his charisma, Puig has solidified himself as one of the league’s most talked about players.
Puig extended his hitting streak to eight games Tuesday night in the series opener against the Cincinnati Reds with an RBI double in the first inning that hit off the top of the fence in left field.
It was Puig’s lone hit of the night, but not his only highlight-worthy moment. After making his patented one-handed catch, Puig responded to some heckling by saying he would make the next one behind his back.
Given that SportsNet LA’s cameras never panned to the direction Puig was speaking in, it’s unclear if he was talking to the Dodgers bullpen or fans in right field. Ryan Walton of the Valley Bay News captured video of the sequence:

This season the one-time All-Star has struggled to remain healthy, which in turn has impacted him at the plate. Entering Wednesday, Puig’s only appeared in 75 games thus far and posted a line of .253/.320/.431 to go along with 10 home runs and 36 RBIs.
