Dodgers vs Brewers: Latest Betting Odds, Predictions and Picks for August 17

The Dodgers and Brewers have split the first two games of their four-game series. With Corbin Burnes pitching for Milwaukee tomorrow, today’s game takes on a little added importance for Los Angeles within the context of the series. The Dodgers come in with an MLB-best 80-35 record and hold a 17-game lead in the NL West. The Brewers, in second place in the NL Central, are 62-53.

The Dodgers will send All-Star Tony Gonsolin to the mound today for his 22nd start of the season. After a couple rough starts surrounding the All-Star break, Gonsolin has been outstanding his last two times out, combining for 11.2 innings pitched and just one run allowed. His season ERA sits at 2.24.

Taking the mound for Milwaukee will be noted Dodger killer Eric Lauer, also making his 22nd start of the season. Unlike Milwaukee’s last two starters, Lauer’s ERA is actually quite a bit better than his underlying numbers, most notably a 4.68 FIP.
