Dodgers vs Diamondbacks: Latest Betting Odds, Predictions and Picks for September 19

Since losing three straight games from August 31 to September 2, the Dodgers have gone 11-3, clinched the NL West, topped 100 wins for the fourth time in the last five full seasons, and swept the Giants again to finish their season series at 15-4.

Now the DBacks come to town for a weird five-games-in-four-days series (thanks, lockout!). After dropping two of three in Arizona early in the season, Los Angeles has gone 10-1 against Arizona since, with the only loss coming from the hangover lineup the day after clinching the division.

Game one of the series will pit Clayton Kershaw against Merrill Kelly. Kershaw has made three starts since coming off the injured list, allowing three runs in 18 innings. The most recent start was the division-clincher in Phoenix last week, when Kersh threw seven shutout innings for the win.

Kelly has been good this year, except when facing the Dodgers. He allowed three runs in five innings to take the loss in that clinching game, and the 5.40 ERA that night actually lowered his season ERA against L.A. down to 8.50.
