Dodgers vs Giants: Lineups, Pregame Matchups, and More for September 17

The Dodgers took care of business last night as they held their arch rival Giants to two hits in a 5-0 win in San Francisco. Dodgers right-hander ace Dustin May took a no-hitter into 5 but was pulled out due to his pitch count and recently returning from Tommy John surgery a month ago.

Dodgers ace Julio Urias looks to ride that momentum from last night as the lefty will take the mound for the LA tonight. Urias will go up against righty John Brebbia who holds a 6-1 record, 2.83 ERA and 1.26 WHIP. Clap back Julio will look to grab his 17th win of the season tonight and build on his case for the NL Cy Young award.

The Dodgers trio will be in full effect tonight in Mookie, Trea, and Freddie. The best catcher in the game will be at clean-up and that funky Muncy will bat right behind him. Red Head Turner will be the DH and Trayce will replace Cody Bellinger in center field. Gallo is the man at left tonight and Wisconsin’s own is back in the lineup for the Boys in Blue.

Gavin Lux will make his first start for the Dodgers tonight. Lux last played against the New York Mets on September 1st. The 24 year-old has been dealing with some neck issues that caused him to miss most of this month.

Back to regularly scheduled programming as SportsNet LA will broadcast the game tonight. Los Angeles will look to capture their 100th win of the season and bury their arch rivals even moreso. This will be the Dodgers 144th game of the season. First pitch is set at 6:05 PM PT.
