Dodgers vs Mets Enter Rain Delay on Friday: When Will Game Resume?
The Los Angeles Dodgers vs. New York Mets game on Friday has entered a rain delay.
In the top of the third inning with the Dodgers having two runners on and two outs, the game entered a delay as rain started pouring down at Citi Field.
Freddie Freeman was up with a 3-1 count at the time the game was called. The score was 0-0.
Clayton Kershaw was in the midst of a strong start in his second appearance since coming off the 60-day injured list. He’s pitched two shutout and hitless innings, allowing just one walk with one strikeout.
The Dodgers will hope the delay doesn’t go on for too long, as if it does, Kershaw won’t be able to come back out and pitch. Then, Friday will turn into a bullpen game, which isn’t ideal for the team already leading MLB in bullpen innings with 213.2 innings pitched.
