Dodgers vs Rockies: Latest Betting Odds, Predictions and Picks for October 5

It’s finally here — the last day of the regular season! The Dodgers come into the season finale in a bit of a slump, scoring just four runs during their three-game losing streak to the Rockies. Los Angeles looks to break out and finish the season on a high note.

In their attempt at their 111th win, L.A. will send Clayton Kershaw to the mound for what will presumably be an abbreviated start. Kershaw pitched the opening game of this series, throwing six shutout innings on Friday night. Overall this year, the three-time Cy Young winner has an 11-3 record and a 2.30 ERA. He’s just 1-2 against the Rockies this season, but both losses came at Coors Field, which only exists because MLB was so preoccupied with whether they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should.

Colorado will counter with Austin Gomber, who has been dropped from their rotation twice this year and hasn’t started a game since July 17. Freddie Freeman is 2-for-5 in his career against Gomber, and he comes into the finale needing four hits to reach 200 on the season. Gomber is 5-7 with a 5.62 ERA on the season.

Team Games (W/L)
