Dodgers vs Rockies: Lineups, Pregame Matchups, and More for October 1

Another massive victory for the Dodgers on Friday moves the Dodgers to 109 and now have the chance to become the seventh team in MLB history to reach at-least 110 wins. If the Dodgers can replicate anywhere near what they performed on Friday, the chances look good as the Dodgers continue on their franchise record.

The Dodgers are now set to take on the Rockies in their second game of the series after officially clinching home field through the World Series after the Astros lost on Friday. There aren’t too many more accomplishments for the Dodgers to fill, but the Dodgers will have extra time to prepare once the regular season as they await the return of some of their key players.

Starting on the mound tonight for the Dodgers will be Michael Grove who will be making his seventh game appearance and sixth start of the season. Grove currently sits at a 4.07 ERA with a 1-0 record, his first win of the season coming in his last start against the Cardinals where he threw three strikeouts and one earned run over 5.0 innings against the Cardinals.

Grove was one of the Dodgers’ top prospects coming into the season and has made an impact whenever the Dodgers called his name. As Grove continues his journey, the Rockies look to Kyle Freeland on the mound who mustered a 5-3 victory in his last outing against the Dodgers on July 30.

Notably, the original lineup had Justin Turner back at third base and hitting fourth, but he was scratched a few hours before game time.

Dave Roberts said they want to give Turner’s shin one more day to heal. With JT scratched, Gavin Lux was inserted into the lineup at second base and Hanser Alberto — originally at 2B — moves to third.

The first pitch is scheduled for 6:40 PM and can be watched on SNLA or listened through radio broadcast on AM570 and KTNQ. Dodgers continue their franchise pace and look for win 110 tonight.
