With a modest two-game winning streak, the Los Angeles Dodgers’ road trip took them to Coors Field for a three-game series with the Colorado Rockies.

In what was a welcome sight for the Dodgers, Yasiel Puig singled up the middle and stole second as Adrian Gonzalez went down swinging for the second out. As was the case against the San Francisco Giants, Matt Kemp delivered with an opposite field, two-run home run.

Roberto Hernandez’s struggles continued as he issued a walk to the leadoff batter. After Charlie Blackmon stole third with one out he was caught in a rundown and tagged out. The mistake proved costly for the Rockies as Michael Cuddyer followed with an RBI double.

Hernandez then gave up a game-tying leadoff home run to Wilin Rosario in the third inning. Christian Bergman found himself in a bit of trouble in the fourth after Carl Crawford hit a one-out triple. However, Bergman escaped the jam and the game remained tied.

Rosario and Rafael Ynoa hit back-to-back singles in the bottom of the fourth and Hernandez followed them with a walk to load the bases. After striking out Bergman, Paco Rodriguez was called on to record the final out of the inning.
