Dodgers: Watch Max Muncy Walk It Off For Oklahoma City
The Dodgers would really like to see Max Muncy get right. After suffering a torn UCL in his non-throwing elbow last year, he just hasn’t been the same guy at the plate. The power hasn’t been there and the all-around numbers have suffered as a result.
So it wasn’t a surprise to see the Dodgers finally give in and place him on the injured list this past week. Getting him some time to heal and correct things is exactly what he and the team need right now, and they have the guys to fill in for him.
Muncy hasn’t had a bunch of success for the OKC Dodgers so far in his first few games. In fact, he’s hitting just .200 across his first 3 games and 10 at-bats. But Tuesday night could have been the spark he needed to get things moving.

Muncy took a 2-0 fastball deep to right to walk it off for the OKC Dodgers. It was the first time that he had hit a homerun since May 4th against the Giants. It got a pair of runs across and the Triple-A squad won that game 6-4.

But more importantly, the Dodgers are hoping this is a sign of things to come for Max. They need him to get right, and getting his power bat back in the lineup would be huge for the playoff run. But right now, he’s going to need some time.
