For the 12th time in the last 13 years, the Los Angeles Dodgers are National League West champions.
With the Dodgers’ 8-0 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday, LA has officially clinched the NL West division, beating out the second-place San Diego Padres.

While the 2025 season was far from pretty for the Dodgers, they continued their run of dominance in the NL West.
The only time the Dodgers haven’t won the division since 2013 was the 2021 season, when they won 106 games but finished in second place to the 107-win San Francisco Giants. This year, the Dodgers can’t win more than 93 games, but still have come away with a fourth straight division title.
The Dodgers dominated the Diamondbacks on Thursday, taking a quick 8-0 lead after four innings. Freddie Freeman homered twice, while Shohei Ohtani and Andy Pages added homers of their own. Yoshinobu Yamamoto was dominant in his final start of the regular season, pitching six shutout innings with seven strikeouts.
Who Are the Dodgers Playing in the Playoffs?
By clinching the NL West, the Dodgers are officially locked into the No. 3 seed in the Wild Card series, with the Milwaukee Brewers and Philadelphia Phillies earning the first-round byes.
The Dodgers will play against the No. 6 seed, which will be one of three teams: the New York Mets, Cincinnati Reds or Arizona Diamondbacks.

The Reds won on Thursday, bringing them back within a half-game of the Mets (who play the Chicago Cubs on Thursday night). With the Diamondbacks’ loss, they’re 1.5 games back of the Mets. Both the Reds and Diamondbacks hold the tiebreaker over the Mets.
Dodgers Wild Card Schedule
Whomever the Dodgers play, they will be at home, with all three Wild Card games taking place at Dodger Stadium.
The first game will be on Tuesday, while Game 2 will be Wednesday and Game 3 (if necessary) will be on Thursday.
