Dodgers World Series: Max Muncy Hit in the Face by a Ball Before Game 1
The Dodgers and Rays are ready to in Arlington, set to kick off Game 1 of the World Series in less than 3 hours from now. That might have sparked some nerves in a few players though, as we already have an incident on the field.
MLB Network’s Jon Morosi reported from the field today that Max Muncy had taken a ball off of the face while fielding grounders before Game 1. The Dodgers first baseman had to come off of the field and be treated by the medical staff.

The good news is that Muncy wasn’t gone off of the field for long. Morosi reported that he was back in the infield taking batting practice with the Dodgers within 12 minutes of the incident. Good news for Los Angeles as Muncy is starting at first base tonight and scheduled to hit cleanup.
