Analysis
Alex Vesia and Tanner Scott are both not featured on the Dodgers’ World Series roster. Instead, the Dodgers will have Will Klein and Edgardo Henriquez available in the bullpen.
Moreover, Ben Casparius was left off the roster, which was another expected move.
The absence of Vesia and Scott signifies the Dodgers will not have two of their high-leverage left-handers. It was announced Thursday that Vesia was away from the team for a deeply personal family matter, so his status for the World Series is of course a secondary matter.

Scott underwent a lower body abscess excision procedure and could not ramp up in time to return to the Dodgers for the final series of the year.

Justin Dean ?? The ghosts of GodFathers will haunt LA , this World Series. Michael Conforto got the shaft.
Conforto could have helped this club this coming World Series.
Just what has Justin Dean accomplished this season for LA?
I couldn’t have said that better myself. I perdict that he will be traded during the offseason.
Who’s going to be traded?
Conforto only has a 1 year contract, you just don’t re-sign him.
Dean has no trade value, just DFA him.
No need waste time trading either of them.
Roberts has been using him solely as a defensive replacement, he probably won’t take an at-bat during the World Series.
not like Conforto’s been much use to us. mostly he strikes out, or grounds out.
KTKA news Thursday nite said that Alex Vesia could possibly be added 3 days after the Dodgers notified MLB about The situation and there is a clause for a medical roster exemption later in the series because Alex Vespa’s wife is due in her pregnancy any moment. So hopefully the baby is ok and prayers go out for their family.
Andrew Friedman said the Dodgers did not place Alex Vesia on the Family Emergency Medical List because they didn’t want him to feel pressured to return. Moreover, Dave Roberts said the Dodgers don’t expect him to return for the World Series.
They are idiots. Dropping Casparius, a tested playoff pitcher last year, for Klein and Henriquez who will crap their pants when put into the game. Unless Roberts thinks he’s getting into a beanball war with Toronto, this is stupid.
Andrew Friedman said the Dodgers made those roster decisions based off matchups. Obviously, LA doesn’t have two lefties with Alex Vesia and Tanner Scott both out; however, it seems the Dodgers believe they have their best chance to win the World Series with the addition of Klein and Henriquez.
Casparius this year has been mediocre at best.
