Dodgers’ Yoendrys Gomez Claimed By AL Team Off Waivers
Los Angeles Dodgers reliever Yoendrys Gomez was claimed off waivers by the Chicago White Sox Saturday. The right-hander was designated for assignment earlier this week as the Dodgers called up right-handed pitcher J.P. Feyereisen.

The White Sox released outfielder Greg Jones in order to make room for Gomez on the 40-man roster.
Gomez joins Chicago with a 6.28 ERA on the season, spending time with both the New York Yankees and Dodgers in 2025. The reliever struggled mightily in his short Dodgers tenure, logging a 14.54 ERA across 4.1 innings pitched.
In three appearances for the Dodgers, Gomez’s first outing was his only good performance. The right-hander tossed three scoreless innings in the Dodgers’ 7-4 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates on April 27.
In his final two appearances with L.A., Gomez allowed a combined seven earned runs across 1.1 innings. The 25-year-old will join the White Sox in hopes of turning a corner.
