Los Angeles Dodgers superstar ace Yoshinobu Yamamoto is coming off an incredible 2025 season. The right-handed pitcher was named an All-Star for the first time in his MLB career and was named World Series MVP after a stellar performance in the Fall Classic.
Yamamoto has shown he can do it all, and he’s putting his talk-show-host skills to the test as well.

The 27-year-old ace announced on Monday that he partnered with Nike, for whom he is a brand ambassador, to host an event in Tokyo called “WINNER’S MIND YOSHINOBU YAMAMOTO TALK SHOW.”
Yamamoto shared the news via his Instagram story.
According to the Nike site, the event is described as a special opportunity to explore the mindset and life choices of the two-time World Series champion.
The event will be held on January 24. The event was organized by lottery, requiring fans to enter for a chance to attend. Yamamoto will talk with fans as they will get a better understanding of his mindset and how he grows about things. If there is a player and person fans should get to know, it is the 27-year-old.
Yamamoto has been spectacular ever since he stepped foot in the states. He entered the league as unknown, and yet the Dodgers took a massive risk, offering him the largest pitching contract ever by total value and length in MLB history. He will soon enter the third season of his 12-year, $325 million contract.
The deal surpassed Yankees’ ace Gerrit Cole, and so far, Yamamoto is proving that he is worth every penny. His World Series performance speaks for itself. In three outings, he went 3-0 with a dominant 1.02 ERA and 15 strikeouts in 17.2 innings pitched, which included a complete game in Game 2 and closing out Game 7 in relief.
On top of that, Yamamoto made history as he became the first pitcher in World Series history to win three road games.
Yamamoto has been stellar to start his MLB career, recording a 19-10 record with a 2.66 ERA, 206 strikeouts and a 1.03 WHIP in 263.2 innings and a 6.7 career WAR. At this rate, Yamamoto is on a trajectory that could eventually lead him to Cooperstown.
