Springer suffered a knee injury in the American League Championship Series after getting hit by a pitch in Game 5. However, he was in the lineup in Game 6 as the team’s designated hitter.

This time, Springer wasn’t hit by a pitch, but looked like he hurt his oblique or back. He went straight to the dugout and down to the clubhouse.

Springer is one of the Blue Jays’ best players, entering this game hitting .259 with four home runs, nine runs batted in and an OPS of .931.
