The World Series is officially set as the Los Angeles Dodgers will take on the Toronto Blue Jays following their electric Game 7 win in the ALCS.
As Friday’s Game 1 in Toronto looms, it is worth looking back to see how the Dodgers fared against the Blue Jays during this past regular season.

The Dodgers hosted the Blue Jays this past August in a three-game series, ultimately winning it 2-1 and outscoring Toronto 18-7 across those contests.
The first game was headlined by a pair of three-time Cy Young award winners as Clayton Kershaw and Max Scherzer faced off against each other. Kershaw earned the win with four strikeouts and one earned run across six innings of work. Mookie Betts went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs in the 5-1 victory.
The next game featured 10 strikeouts from Blake Snell across five scoreless innings, along with Max Muncy and Shohei Ohtani going yard. The Dodgers clobbered Toronto, 9-1.
The third and final regular season meeting was more competitive than the other two — complete with a bases loaded Freddie Freeman walk to tie the game in the bottom of the eighth — but Blue Jays infielder Ernie Clement hit a solo shot off of the first pitch he saw from Alex Vesia, and the Dodgers would squander a one-out, bases loaded bottom of the ninth opportunity.
This small handful of games has shown a few things the Dodgers have known to be true all year in their electric starting pitching and power bats, but also exposed an unfortunate truth for the defending champions, and that is the uneasiness with the bullpen.
Much has changed since early August, including the emergence of rookie right-hander Roki Sasaki to lend his services to the bullpen, as he has allowed just one earned run in eight innings of work.
There is no telling what will happen in this final series of 2025, but the Dodgers will be doing everything in their power to become baseball’s first back-to-back champions in a quarter century.

We have a great chance of winning if Mike Roberts doesn’t take out starting pitchers and puts some lackey like Scot in to pitch.
