Instagram: Puig Reposts Photo, Uses #IWillNotBeADistraction

Since his debut in June 2013, Yasiel Puig has become one of the more polarizing players in the big leagues.

While he is revered for his play, natural talent and energy, he is also criticized for his showmanship, bat flips and fundamentals. This all led up to a benching in Game 4 of the NLDS by manager Don Mattingly, despite his strong play all season. Those not in Los Angeles can consider Puig and his antics as a detriment to the team, but his numbers and energy speak for themselves. He has a .305 career average in those two years with 35 home runs and helped the Dodgers to two NL West titles.

Possibly hearing these rumblings, Puig took to Instagram and reused a photo from a Fox Sports article before the 2014 season. His caption adds to the fun of the photo.

I will not be a distraction #lmao #iwillnotbeadistraction
