Kershaw News: Kershaw’s Historic Night vs. Mets | VIDEO
It’s Friday the 13th, and to commemorate what some would call a superstitious holiday, we have all 13 of Los Angeles Dodgers Clayton Kershaw’s strikeouts. The Dodgers split the series with the New York Mets Thursday night and will begin a 3-game series vs. the St. Louis Cardinals Friday.
However, examining the final game vs. the Mets, Kershaw made some history that night and put up some astronomical numbers.
Clayton Kershaw (@Dodgers): 8th career shutout with 10 strikeouts, twice as many as any other pitcher since he entered the majors in 2008.

Kershaw had 13 strikeouts on just 108 pitches Thursday. Following the Dodgers 5-0 victory Kershaw spoke with SportsNetLA reporter Alanna Rizzo:
“Just a fun night to pitch … it’s always fun to pitch a night game,” Kershaw said. “I’ll take outs any way I can get them.”
It was a fun night at Dodger Stadium, especially for the Dodgers who had an early lead thanks to a huge HR from Yasmani Grandal in the first inning.
"You know what (Kershaw's) record is when he gets four runs or more? 80-0, Eighty and Zip!"
