Kiké Hernández Removes Dodgers From Social Media Profile

The rollercoaster offseason has officially begun for Los Angeles Dodgers utility man Kiké Hernández. The free agent has announced his official status this winter with a change in his profile picture.

Originally, Hernández’s profile picture was a headshot of himself with a Dodgers hat on. Now, Hernández has a question mark on his hat. It signals that the utility man’s future with Los Angeles remains uncertain as he enters free agency.

However, he did urge fans to tell the front office that he wanted to return. At a Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers partnership event, Hernández revealed he is anxious to return to the Dodgers for the 2025 season.

“I really hope I am back next year,” Hernández said, “so make sure you talk to (Andrew) Friedman and those guys and let them know.

Hernández believes that the Dodgers will be an even better team next season as the pitching staff gets reinforcements. However, the utility man’s future with the Dodgers is still up in the air.

“It’s hard to not think about it, about what can happen next year,” Hernández said. “Obviously, being a free agent at the time I wouldn’t say I’m unemployed because I’m here working at Raising Canes today. I would love to be back. We won the World Series a few days ago, but I truly believe this team is going to be better next year with all the pitching reinforcements. It’s going to be some really exciting times in LA next year.”

The Dodgers have several tough decisions to make regarding players who are now free agents this winter. Along with Hernández, Walker Buehler, Jack Flaherty, Teoscar Hernández, Blake Treinen, and Joe Kelly are also free agents this offseason.

President of baseball operations Andrew Friedman and general manager Brandon Gomes will have to decide whether to keep or let go of a number of fan favorites. The front office will also have to decide whether to go after highly-touted free agents such as Willy Adames or Juan Soto.

Adames or Soto would be a huge addition to the team, but the departure of fan favorites like Hernández would also be a tough loss.

    1. Yep yep yep. The problem is that Taylor is under contract for one more year already and would have to be traded or DFAd, and that would cost more than just letting Kike go.

  1. Dodgers need to keep KiKi Hernandez. Love Chris Taylor but KiKi is more productive. Need to keep Teoscar and Bueler.

      1. She dont make sandwiches…so that proves she’s way smarter than you, plus baseball fans eat HOT DOGS..and real DODGER fans eat DODGER DIGS..so you go eat sandwiches with SOTO..we don’t need or want his me, me, me attitude. Being an L.A. Dodger is way bigger than any one man. He won’t understand that concept.

      2. Nice attitude towards women, bro.
Many agree with her; count me as one.
Soto doesn’t feel like he fits in the team culture that brought the WS back to LA.
        GO DODGERS!

        1. Yes, 100% agree John! We have good chemistry with the big names we have and throwing another big star in there might ruin the chemistry. Especially one with the personality of Soto. Mookie, Freddie & Shohei are more humble leader types, not showboating around to draw attention to themselves.

I say Resign Teo & Treinen, get solid starters and skip Soto. Ok, I better get back to making sandwiches, you know, cause that’s what we women are supposed to be doing according to Rafael. ?

      3. Rafael, You should listen to your attitude phool saying “go make sanswiches”. The women have every right to give their opinion on this topic, don’t say ” go make sandwiches” ….. go easy b cool phool.

      4. She’s 100% and you’re the fool. Hater! What are you even doing on this site? Crawl back to the rock you sleep under 🙁

    1. Agree 100%. Keep Kike, Teo, Walker, and even Joe Kelly and so many fans will love you for it. Soto is a showboat, not a team player. We already have great players with super star abilities, but without the attitude—and we proved it in the World Series. Soto went home without a ring or a parade.

  2. Agreed, chemistry is everything in the dugout & clubhouse.
These guys have each other’s backs…
    Bad day? we got you
    0-for 15? we got you
    Family matters? we got you
These guys have no fear passing the baton to a teammate.
    Its a culture of trust.
    Certain players need not apply

  3. I believe that our Dodgers shouldn’t be looking at any other position players. We were the best team in baseball this season and had the most wins this season. If it’s not broke no need to mess with this line up. Bringing over Juan Soto is not a good idea especially when this line up is like a well oiled machine it works from top to bottom, everyone knows what is expected n they know what they are supposed to do. I believe that the dodgers should just focus on pitching and building up a solid pitching staff and bullpen with quality pitching that can eat up innings and not give up a lot of runs. The main thing is going to be to have our pitching staff as healthy as possible throughout the whole season. I Believe thats where our focus has to be so bring all those guys back that have a lot to do with why we won this world series in 2024

  4. Please don’t bring Juan Soto. He would be another Manny Machado to our team. Arrogant, childless, and he just doesn’t fit in Blue.

    1. Ya’ll are 100% wrong about Soto. I don’t want them to sign him, I agree on that, but every single person who’s played with him says he’s an absolute great teammate, locker room guy and even tries to help the younger guys-or less experienced guys.

      1. Instead of Soto, why not get players like Adames, Burnes, Snell, or Fried? They can probably do that, though of the three pitchers, they probably would look at Burnes and Fried.

  5. A Big Hell NO to Soto he would be like a cancer. Taylor is a bum he needs to be released. Kelly also needs to go. Keep both Hernandez’s at 2 year contracts each. By Then Daulton Rushing should be ready for left field. The shortstop from Milwaukee concerned about his lifetime batting average of .250 1 for 4 average at best. No to Bo Bichette he’s past his prime.

  6. Free Agency is getting ridiculous, all the players do is chase money, I understand he wants to stay, but I see so many players wanting to jump ship.

  7. Kike Hernandez, when he arrived this time around, seen dancing, I thought it was a joke, I was wrong. The most productive utility is Kike, but he is not a handing men. Just give him the money he deserves to get, more playing time. And you better keep him. Kike love LA, and LA love Kike

  8. We are ok in all positions except pitching… My opinion is leave Mookie in right..leave Lux on second were he improved so much in defense & his offense. Please give all your attention to starting pitching..

  9. Kike is Dodgers baseball! Would miss him again if he’s jettisoned. And a Hard No on Soto. His demeanor doesn’t fit well with Dodgers brand of baseball. Think Machado for recent memories of “All eyes on Me” personality.

  10. I have been a Dodger fan ..since the early 60s..seen the greats and NOT so greats come and go..

What I LOVE about KIKE is his Enthusiasm and energy , ON AND OFF THE FIELD ..I believe the teams bench benefits with his CLUTCH hitting and to play Any position ,he is at his best in the tight situation’s ..
DODGERS can’t recreate that just with the check ,he has earned the right to be part of and RETIRE as a dodger Don’t be idiots and let him get away

    1. I totally agree! Since the very first time that he came on board with the Dodgers I liked his enthusiasm ! But in all honesty, his enthusiasm for being a Dodger has grown stronger, and his ability to play and bat have improved tremendously! PLEASE KEEP KIKE! A shame if we let him go! As for Soto, he is kinda stuck on himself and our Dodgers team works together , ALL FOR ONE AND ONE for ALL! The Musketeers of baseball! And we dedicated fans, even though we are women, have a right to voice our opinions! For Pete’s sake, some of we women watch more of the games than the men! So don’t be knocking our opinions off the board! I have been, still am, and ALWAYS WILL BE A COMMITTED DODGERS FAN! So back off if you feel the urge to run us down or think we aren’t important! GO DODGERS!! The best team 4-ever! My heart is warm, my feet are cold; but the love for my Dodgers will never grow old!

  11. KEEP KIKE, TEOSCAR, AND DEFINITELY BEUHLER, DON’T BRING CANCER LIKE MONEY GLUTTON soto.

  12. A. How to increase the number of runs scored without harming the defense? 1. Sign Teoscar. 2. Sign Adames. 3. Move Betts to 2B. 4. Add another power bat in the outfield [Santander, Luis Robert].

    B. How to reduce the number of runs given up? 1. Return all pitchers from last year including Buehler but not Hudson [retired] Kelly [no longer effective] Flaherty [not effective enough to warrant a high salary long-term contract]. 2. Add either Sasaki or Burnes or Max Fried as a starter 3. Trade for Crochet [using a few of the younger pitchers as trade pieces]. 12 currently under control [including Buehler] Glasnow, Yamamoto, Ohtani, Buehler, Gonsolin, May, Kershaw, Miller, Sheehan, Knack, Casperius, Wrobleski, and then at least 4 or 5 more in 2026 [Gavin Stone, River Ryan, Hurt, Frasso, Jackson Ferris ] is too many to keep. Some will be lost in Rule V. Some, maybe including Outman, Pages, Rushing, have to be traded for Crochet and Luis Robert.

  13. Yep yep yep. The problem is that Taylor is under contract for one more year already and would have to be traded or DFAd, and that would cost more than just letting Kike go.

  14. Please keep Kike and Teoscar, they embody the Dodger spirit. And please do not hire Soto, he is so wrong for this organization and the fans. Thank you

  15. Man I agree with you all! Kiki is like Energy Bunny, and besides being needed in many positions on the field, this guy is glue in the dug out where the chemistry is what makes those guys winners!! I see Taylor having to go and I’m thinking Kiki could do Muncy’s job on third permanently, and Muncy back him and Otani up at DH. But as someone mentioned, please don’t break up a good (no a great thing)! Please don’t mess with Mookie again either, leave him out in the field where he is king, find a good SS, as Andy and crew seem to be able to find in the ruff quite often.

  16. Kike and Teo need to stay. Each of them brings so much to the Dodgers. Juan Soto could be toxic to the Dodger team chemistry. I think everyone knows that Juan Soto is not needed to win a World Series. Please pass on Soto.

  18. Keep things as close to how they are as possible. Get rid of Taylor, keep both Hernandez’s. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. You know what areas need work without messing up the rest of the guys. You have shown to be a smart president, don’t mess with the guys who keep the dugout hyped and bring something to the table. You can always re-evaluate in a couple years. Like should be able to retire as a Dodger.

  19. Kike Hernandez Is a postseason clubhouse, chemistry guy. I would rather keep him and the clutch hitting Teoscar Hernandez rather than add Juan Soto or Willy Adames. With the money saved, I would then resign Treinen, Bueller or Flaherty and add Roki Sasaki (or sign Fried, Burns, or Snell). And add closer Deven Williams. The tear would be unstoppable!

  20. We need to KEEP KIKE at ALL COST! He was part of the 2020 and now the 2024 squad that won the World Series!!! The Dodgers convincingly dominated the Yankees in the WS. Through out the whole post season our guys looked like studs! Makes no sense to pick up other players when the squad that we have now is so dominate. #kikehernandez #keepkikeadodgerforlife

  21. Don’t make the same mistake the Blue Jays did. Sign Teo for multi-years. He is a great player to have in the clubhouse, and hits better when the pressure isn’t on him to be “the guy”

  22. Rafael, You should listen to your attitude phool saying “go make sanswiches”. The women have every right to give their opinion on this topic, don’t say ” go make sandwiches” ….. go easy b cool phool.

  23. THE PRIORITY:
    1. WALKER B.
    2. TREINEN
    3. TEOSCAR / KIKE
    4. FLAHERTY
    5. THERE ARE 3 DODGERS MINOR LEAGUERS WE NEED TO CONSIDER BEFORE WE BRING IN ANYONE ELSE. STICK TO OUR FARM SYSTEM.

    MOVE OUT:
    1.TAYLOR TRADE PIECE FOR
    2. RETIRE KERSHAW
    3. That come to mind

  24. I wouldn’t be mad if the Dodgers only upgraded their pitching staff and kept everything else the same. It would still be a much better team and WS bound!
