All-Star slugger Kyle Tucker has been heavily linked to the Los Angeles Dodgers to address their issues in the outfield this offseason, but general managers across the league believe he could also land with the New York Yankees and Toronto Blue Jays, per Bob Nightengale.
“Tucker, a native of Tampa, will sign with the Yankees, Toronto Blue Jays or Los Dodgers, GMs predict,” Nightengale wrote.
The Dodgers and Yankees both had an outfielder leave to free agency after the regular season, with LA losing Michael Conforto and the Yankees losing Cody Bellinger. The Blue Jays didn’t have any of their outfielder enter the open market this offseason, but could use Tucker’s bat to take over for Nathan Lukes in right field.

Tucker made the All-Star team in 2025 and won a Silver Slugger award despite playing through injury in the middle of the season. He hit 22 home runs and tallied 73 RBIs throughout the season, playing 136 games.
He has made the last four All-Star Games, and had hit 20 or more homers every season since 2021 — reaching the 30 mark twice.
The Dodgers have shown they’re willing to spend on top free agents in the past, and Tucker is no different. Tucker, a natural right fielder, would likely take over his preferred position if the Dodgers signed him, and they’d move Teoscar Hernández back to left field, where he played in 2024.
Tucker also has a serviceable glove in left, posting defensive numbers around league average in 2025 and winning a Gold Glove in 2022.

There was always going to be competition for the biggest name in the free agency class, but the Dodgers are a clear destination for any player due to their success over the last couple of seasons. Thus, they could look to bring Tucker in and further establish their dynasty with a third consecutive World Series win.

It’s Juan Soto all over again. It’s just to drive his price up.
The Dodgers won’t be the highest bidder for Tucker, according to the latest report. So in that sense, it seems exactly like their pursuit of Soto.
They would be better off signing a better, speedy athlete, Gold Glover and hitter in Stephen Kwan in my book than over pay for Tucker. At $400 million, that is definitely an over pay… Kwan might cost half of that and would be a catalyst in the Dodger line up…
Kwan is signed for two years at low $$, he’s the perfect bridge til the prospects are ready.
Sign Harrison Bader for CF, move Pages to RF, and Teo to LF if you can’t trade him.
I would take Kwan in a heartbeat over Bader…
I sure hope Teo and Pages rebound next year, Pages at the plate and Teo defensively. Kwan is a great idea for the outfield, so is Ryan Ward from Tripe A. Bellinger or Tucker cost a lot and salary doesn’t always equate to performance.
Belli can be had for less than what Tucker will want, especially in years,,,
SINCE I DO NOT KNOW ALL THE DETAILS IT IS DIFFICULT TO TELL SOMEONE TO SPEND MONEY. IF IT WAS SIMPLE THEY WOULD NOT NEED TO THE BEST FRONT OFFICE IN BASEBALL. MONEY ASIDE I WOULD TAKE TUCKER & BO BICHETTE & THE RELIEVER DIAZ THEN SEE IF THE TIGERS WOULD TAKE A FEW GUYS FOR SKUBAL
