MLB Releases Video On Dodgers’ Memorable 2017 Season
The Los Angeles Dodgers (99-57) are entering the final week of an extraordinary regular season.
Postseason play hasn’t even begun yet, but it’s been a wild ride filled with trials and tribulations for the Boys in Blue. Many wondered if this team could fight through strenuous exhaustion that built up from all the grind, pressure, headlines, and expectations placed upon them; but they’ve responded accordingly.
It’s nearly impossible for one to remember all of the implementation from front office executives, spring training, and epic performances that were put on display so far in 2017, but this video called How They Got There: Dodgers Extended Cut depicts all the important components from this season so far:
It’s safe to say that all of Dodgers Nation would agree that this video is a perfect depiction of a cinematic thriller based upon a true story.
The last stretch of the season has been unbelievably rough, but maybe that will turn out to be a good thing during the upcoming postseason run. Media scrutiny has increased and predicated favoritism has drifted away, but that’s okay.
It’s not about which team is the hottest heading into the postseason. If that was the case, then the Dodgers would have won two of the last four championships. That doesn’t matter now. What’s important is that they’re gaining momentum, figuring out combinations and finally having fun again.
Teams that win championships gel at the right time, take advantage of matchups, executing during critical situations and battling till the very last pitch. This video certainly shows that this Dodgers team has what it takes to fulfill all those championship attributes.
The world isn’t ready for what’s in store, but the whole Dodgers Nation community has already seen a glimpse of what will take place during Blue October.
Dodgers’ Dave Roberts On His Frustration With Yasiel Puig
It has been quite a ride so far. Plenty of highs and lows. The Dodger players have proved they’re capable of winning it all. Now they must focus, execute, and produce like never before. I lay much of the blame of long losing streaks at Roberts feet. When you tinker with the lineup card to the extent Roberts does, it can bring about devasting results. It was a complete team crash that Roberts brought about. I hope he’s learned from it. We’ll see. Now go win a pennant, and while you’re at it, the WS too.
