MLB: Trevor Bauer Destroys the Houston Astros with the Greatest Shirt Ever

Love him or hate him, Reds pitcher Trevor Bauer has done some impressive work since the end of last season. No, we’re not talking about his work in helping young athletes brand themselves more actively. This is about his work in outing the Houston Astros as dirty cheaters.

In fact, he’s taken advantage of this longer than expected offseason when it comes to making sure the sign-stealers don’t forget their crimes.

Now, on the first official day of “summer camp,” Bauer may have outdone himself with what may be the best shirt of all time.

The potential future Dodger Bauer likes keeping his jabs towards “do your research” Carlos Correa’s Astros somewhat subtle. However, there was no subtlety with this shirt.

The prominent trashcan/commissioner’s trophy (you know, the one Rob Manfred called a piece of metal?). The wonderfully executed “2017 Chumps” over champs. An ode to Houston’s “H-Town” with the “TRASH-TOWN”.

It really checked off all the boxes.

Of course, in true Bauer fashion, he makes no mention of the shirt in his social copy. Instead, he actually references a war of tweets going on with two former MLB players.

Baseball is back everyone!! Intake testing done, lots of really high tech stuff goin on here but anything to help us win is in, right?!

While he’s stopped short of actually apologizing for past questionable takes and poor decisions on his part, the 29-year-old has put in work this year to try and repair his reputation. Shirts like this absolutely help. Unless you live in Houston.

  1. GGGGREAT! Shirt. Bring on the Hoodlum asterisks. There’s going to be a lot of talk even though no one will be at the game. But that’s a good thing because there may have been a lot of fights at the stadium.
