It’s safe to say that Mookie Betts has thrived since becoming a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Since joining the ballclub in 2020, Betts has made four All-Star teams, won four Silver Slugger awards, earned two Gold Glove awards, and has been an integral member of three World Series teams.

Betts, 33, is a future first ballot Hall of Fame member without question. It was utterly shocking to see the Red Sox trade him. Having said that, Boston’s loss was LA’s gain — and the relationship between Betts and the city has only continued to flourish.
Betts recently co-hosted a Thanksgiving event along with the Los Angeles Dodgers in which meals were doled out to those in need. An incredible 750 families were accounted for in this scenario. Betts was briefly interviewed at the event. Being a very active member in the LA community, he opened up about what the city means to him.
“It’s kind of weird. It doesn’t seem like it’s been [seven years]. It’s just been love from day one,” Betts said. “I love being a Dodger and I love the city of LA. And that’s why I’m out here [on Wednesday]. The platform I’m blessed with I want to share it with everyone.”
Betts signed a 12-year extension in 2020 that will keep him with the team through the 2032 season. The unselfishness he’s demonstrated moving from the outfield to the infield at this stage in his career is nothing short of sensational. Betts is always a team-first guy — evidenced by hosting the entire team at his home in back-to-back years during post-parade celebrations.
Given what he’s meant to the franchise and the community, there’s no doubt Betts will go down as an all-time great Dodgers player — and easily one of the best position players to ever represent the Boys in Blue.
