How are the Dodgers Doing?

After trailing the series 2-1, the Dodgers rallied back-to-back wins in Game 4 and Game 5. Clayton Kershaw received the win on Game 5, allowing just one run over seven innings. He struck out nine batters while surrendering just three hits. Austin Barnes started the last two games for the Dodgers, replacing Yasmani Grandal as the backstop for Los Angeles.

Why is this Game Important?

Despite leading the series, the Dodgers head back to Milwaukee to conclude the NLCS. With a victory, they will advance to the World Series for the second straight year, this time facing the Boston Red Sox. A loss would force a Game 7 at Miller Park.



Pitching Matchup

Hyun-Jin Ryu (1-0, 1.59 ERA) vs. Wade Miley (0-0, 0.00 ERA)*2018 Playoff Stats

Hyun-Jin-Ryu will make his second start of the NLCS. His first game against the Brewers in this series came in Game 2 in Milwaukee, where the Dodgers won 4-3. He failed to last five innings in that start, giving up two runs on six hits.

Wade Miley will make his third start of the NLCS. Brewers’ manager Craig Counsell used Miley as a decoy in Game 5, as he faced just one batter in that start. Miley has yet to allow a run over 10.1 innings in the playoffs.

Manny Machado vs. Wade Miley

After batting below the Mendoza line in the NLCS, Manny Machado has picked up his production in this round of the playoffs. Machado is batting .316 with a home run in the NLCS and has reached base in each game this series. Including this postseason, he is batting .286 with a home run against Miley.

  1. Time is NOW for the Brewers to start playing like MAJOR LEAGUERS. Up til this game, seems like Brewers are playing at MINOR LEAGUE level.
