Following the Los Angeles Dodgers’ 4-3 win in Game 2 of the National League Division Series, the Philadelphia Phillies made a huge announcement.

Phillies manager Rob Thomson revealed Aaron Nola is set to start Game 3 at Dodger Stadium. The right-hander is sporting a 6.01 ERA with 97 strikeouts across 94.1 innings pitched this season.
In three of Nola’s starts in September, he gave up four or more earned runs. After losing the first two games of the NLDS at Citizens Bank Park, the Phillies will look to Nola to fend off a red, hot Dodgers lineup.
Ranger Suarez, who is sporting a 3.20 ERA this season, will back Nola up in Wednesday’s Game 3.
The play of Game 2 came in the bottom of the ninth with the Dodgers leading by one run. Thomson opted to have Bryson Stott bunt with a runner on second and no outs following a three-hit streak from the Phillies lineup.
The Dodgers executed the perfect wheel play with Mookie Betts and Max Muncy cutting down the potential tying run at third.
The Dodgers head back home with a 2-0 lead in the NLDS, which is extremely impressive given Citizens Bank Park is considered one of the hardest road environments compete in.
“It’s huge,” manager Dave Roberts said. “It’s absolutely huge. Guys are really stepping up.”
