The Los Angeles Dodgers aim for their fourth consecutive victory tonight over the Colorado Rockies after taking the opener of the series on Monday, 4-1. After a successful road trip where the team went 7-3, the Dodgers will try to replicate those efforts in the second of a 10-game homestand.

On the hill tonight for Los Angeles is Brett Anderson who is coming off of a few days rest due to a leg cramp in his last start. In that outing Anderson was pulled after 5.2 innings and allowed four walks, four hits, and one earned run.

On the year the southpaw is 9-8 with a 3.36 ERA, a 3.94 FIP and a 1.31 WHIP. He has faced the Rockies twice this season and split the games. In one outing he went 5.0 innings and allowed six hits and one run in an eventual win, while in the other Anderson went 5.1 innings and allowed five hits and two earned runs in a loss.

Anderson will be opposed by fellow southpaw pitcher Chris Rusin. On the season Rusin has put together a record of 5-8 to go along with a 5.14 ERA, a 4.56 FIP and a 1.57 WHIP, this will be his first time facing off against the Dodgers this year.

Justin Ruggiano and Chris Heisey start in the outfield with the left-hander on the mound. Scott Van Slyke likely would have started, but is out with a sore hand. Ruggiano is hitting .421 with three home runs and 10 RBIs since joining the team. A.J. Ellis is in the fifth spot for the first time since 2013. Corey Seager gets another start at shortstop with Jimmy Rollins still nursing a finger injury. The rookie went 2-for-3 in his Dodger Stadium debut on Monday.
