Shohei Ohtani Out of Dodgers Lineup With Injury Sunday vs Padres

After being removed from the game late last night against the San Diego Padres, Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani will miss the game today. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said that his back tightened up during the game on Saturday so they felt it was better for him to exit as a precautionary measure.

Without Ohtani in the lineup, the Dodgers still have a potent offensive attack as they get ready to face off against veteran starter Yu Darvish. Both teams have won a game so far in this series, making this a rubber match between the two rivals.

Roberts said that Ohtani’s injury was considered minor so the hope is that he won’t be out for too long. If anything, he will get a day of rest and they will hopefully get him back in time for their series against the San Francisco Giants this week.
