Shohei Ohtani Reflects On ‘Incredible’ Dodgers 2024 Season and Championship Parade
It’s been a great year for Shohei Ohtani. In his first season with the Dodgers, he has set all sorts of records and won a World Series.
During the Dodgers championship parade, Ohtani reflected on it all.
“I’m totally overwhelmed with the amount of fans that are here. It’s incredible.” “It’s been an incredible year.”
Needless to say, his first year with the Dodgers has been special. He went from never making the postseason while with the Los Angeles Angels to now being called a World Series champion.
Ohtani is likely going to be named the National League MVP after another stellar season at the plate. He finished the year by hitting .310 with 54 home runs and 130 runs batted in.
While his postseason numbers, especially the World Series ones, weren’t the best, Ohtani made his mark all year long for the Dodgers. It was a trying year for Los Angeles but they persevered and ended up on top of the baseball mountain.
And it doesn’t seem that Ohtani is satisfied with this one World Series victory. After the Dodgers defeated the New York Yankees, the superstar went up to the president of baseball operations, Andrew Friedman, and had a simple message.
“Let’s do this nine more times,” Ohtani said to Friedman.
